How do I apply for assistance?
First, you must register for an account by going to "Registration". This portal, designed for EBCI enrolled members to have secure, convenient, and personalized channels to interact with the EBCI government and Tribal programs, will also offer to our Tribal members financial updates regarding the tribe and provide Tribal officials ideas and deeper insight into the needs of our people.
Once I register on the Member Portal does this mean I am automatically signed up to receive assistance?
No, this means you have created your profile and now have access to the online application. Here you can submit online applications for services like education, housing, infrastructure, etc. You will need to apply for assistance after you register.
Do I need to fill out a separate registration on the Member Portal for my children who are under the age of 18?
We hope you do. It helps EBCI ensure that our citizens addresses are current and that we capture important data to know how to target applications and programming. Services such as education assistance or job training assistance are a few examples. If you do register your child, please note they will need a valid email that is not a duplicate in the system, in other words cannot be the same as the one you provided for yourself.
Will information provided for myself, or my child be protected?
The member Portal is a secure database and only used by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians departments with the goal of better assisting our membership. Instead of having paper copies in EBCI departments with application information, this is now online and allows departments to easily access the information, which is current and updated.
Who is eligible for EBCI assistance?
EBCI services are open to every EBCI enrolled member living within the reservation, or at large, no matter the age or income. It is open to all membership.
Who can I contact if I have questions about the Member Portal?
